30 Minute Meal – Ham & Swiss Sliders

A slider is an American term for a small sandwich.  They are all the craze lately!  Brooks Alexander from our agency in Miller bets that you can’t eat just one of these soft, warm and delish ham and Swiss sandwiches.  She says they are perfect for a night when your supper needs to be done in 30 minutes or less.   Add a fresh fruit salad and your meal is complete.

Ingredients:

12 dinner rolls – sweet Hawaiian or regular white/wheat

1/2 cup of melted butter

2 TBS Dijon mustard

1 1/2 TBS dried, minced onion

1/3 pound sliced ham

1/2 pound Swiss cheese

Directions:

Combine the melted butter, mustard and minced onion.  Whisk together until blended.  Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Cut each roll in half.  Put 2 slices of ham and 3 slices of Swiss cheese in each roll, alternating ham with cheese.   Put sandwiches into baking dish, arranged tightly together.  Spoon the butter mixture on top of each roll.   Cover baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.  Remove foil and bake another 2-3 minutes until the top of buns are slightly browned.
